Closing her eyes, Pepper found that she truly didn’t care where they went. No matter what happened, they would be together, no interruptions — providing the team didn’t need Iron Man for anything — and so it didn’t matter where they took their honeymoon.
“Mhmm, whichever you want. Norway sounds nice.”
So did sleep at this point. As vehement as she’d been about a shower earlier, she knew it could wait til the morning. She smiled against his skin at the sound of another yawn, her voice amused and ironic as she murmured up to him.
“…Are you tired, boss?”
He pressed his lips to her forehead. “A little,” he rumbled, “but only if you are. If you’re going to stay awake, I will too. I’m flexible.” He looked down at her and saw her easy breathing, felt the slackness in the arm that she had draped across his chest. He knew she was close to drifting off and he smiled.
Once she’d gotten some sleep, he had a few choice ideas about how to wake her up.
“So, married on August 1st with a honeymoon in Norway,” he recapped. “Sounds like a winner to me.”
